Progress This Week 12.12.14

December 12, 2014 by Kristin Williams 1 Comment

December has been crazy! I know it is every year and I always think I am going to be prepared for it, particularly this year, but so far things have been crazier than ever, which is fine, we just haven’t gotten as much done on the house as we would have liked. BUT progress is progress, here is what we have done:

The main area of the basement is completely painted. We painted over the dark wood trim, wood paneling and painted the walls Sedate Gray by S-W and wow, it’s made a huge difference.

Here is the before:

And the after:

Sedate Gray by Sherwin-Williams

These photos are not the best , but it gives you an idea of where we came from. Sedate Gray is an awesome color, I love it and am so happy with how it turned out. It was one that I didn’t even sample, just ordered a couple of gallons. Scary huh?! It’s one of Sherwin-Williams 2015 colors that was recommended and I’ve seen it in some other homes that I loved so I wasn’t too worried about it. We painted the trim and paneling White Dove by Benjamin Moore.

The dark trim is almost done – not fun to paint but I am in love with the results.

And the kitchen?

kitchen remodel

I think the priming is almost done! I had to do a TON of sanding, we had a little problem with our paint sprayer but I’m hoping to make some good progress on them now and start painting  tomorrow.

Today, I’m picking up more paint samples and tomorrow we are going to start on the upstairs and the bedrooms.Hope you have a fun-filled weekend! See you next week!
