Happy 2017 everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and are inspired to make this new year the best one yet. I am adjusting to having 4 kids and getting back to reality. We’ve had a little bit of a honeymoon phase at our house with the kids out of school and my husband being able to take off work – today is our first “real” day back. So far so good!
Here are a few popular paint brands and their color forecasts for this year. You’ll notice a trend – definitely cooler colors and a lot of purples and blues. If you’ve been following my blog for long, you know I love blues but I have never been a fan of purple undertones, or purple in general for that matter, but maybe this will be the year that I embrace it.
I would love to try Alchemy on a cute piece of furniture and maybe Marea Baja for our laundry room that needs to be done? Mature Grape could make a bold statement in a bedroom paired with gold accents.
Benjamin Moore has some beautiful colors – Jenny from Evolution of Style painted a small powder room in Gentleman’s Gray which I loved.

I haven’t always loved January, but it’s become one of my favorite months. I love the possibilities a New Year brings, planning, making goals, and dreaming big. We definitely have house projects on our list of things to do and I have loved looking at the different color forecasts for 2017 for new ideas.
